H.E. “Gene” Rainboldt

H. E. “Gene” Rainboldt is a native of Norman and attended the University of Oklahoma from 1953 to 1957 where he was active in the Army ROTC program. He graduated from OU with a degree in economics and went on to earn a master’s degree in Finance from University of Wisconsin. After college, Rainboldt accepted his commission and served as a Field Artillery Officer during the Korean War where he received a Bronze Star. After the war, Rainboldt returned to Oklahoma and went into the banking business. He started his career by purchasing the First American Bank in Purcell and then subsequently became the President of the Federal National Bank in Shawnee. He is currently the Chairman of Banc First and remains a prominent member of the banking industry and the Oklahoma community. Gene is and has always been a proud veteran and steadfast supporter of OU Army ROTC.
