LTC (Ret) Brian McConnell

Brian W. McConnell graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1972 with a BA and was commissioned as a Field Artillery Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve. He served on the Korean DMZ with the 2nd Infantry Division, with US forces in Berlin, and with numerous Army units, including the 1st Infantry Division.
 
LTC McConnell held a number of assignments in Public Affairs including assignment to the office of the Chief of Public Affairs at the Pentagon. He is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College, as well as the Defense Information School. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2000.
 
Brian is a principal and co-founder of BravoMike Consultants LLC, which has clients such as American Airlines, US Airways, Allegiant Air, and the Irish Centre for Business Excellence. He was employed by Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Pfizer Inc., and other industry-leading companies over a long career. He has expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma and has been the Chairman of the Lean Flight Initiative headquartered in Limerick, Ireland.
 
Brian is a Senior Lecturer at the Carson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is also a faculty member of the Metropolitan State University and has earned three Master’s degrees, including a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and he has also completed significant work towards a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
