- November 29, 2022: Alumni and Friends, the Celebration of Life ceremony for Charles Brantley will be held at 1 PM EST on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Bethany Baptist Church, 3409 Cork Rd., Plant City, FL 33565.
- November 18, 2022: Alumni and Friends, more sad news: Distinguished Alumnus LTC Charles K. Brantley passed away on November 15th, 2022 from a cardiac event. Charles spent the majority of his career in the Special Forces branch of the United States Army. Notably, Charles was a member of and also commanded the Golden Knights Parachute Team. Please read his impressive military and personal biography here. We will post any information we may receive about a memorial or other service. - November 9, 2022: Thanks to all who attended our 2022 Alumni and Friends Banquet! We had 186 attendees this year. Our next annual Banquet is scheduled (tentatively) for November 10, 2023. We hope to see you there!
- October 13, 2022: Alumni and Friends, sad news: one of our own, Paul Kim (OU Army ROTC class of 2011, branched Infantry) died fighting in Ukraine on October 5th, 2022. Paul volunteered to serve with the International Legion. According to a friend, Paul “died doing something that he believed in and gave him purpose.” Our Alumni and Friends mourn the loss. We will post any information we may receive about a memorial or other service. Here are some photos of Paul in service with both the United States Army and Ukraine’s International Legion:
- September 10, 2022: A limited number of discounted tickets are available for the “Military Appreciation Day” game (Oklahoma vs. Baylor) on Saturday, November 5, 2022 (the day following the 2022 Alumni and Friends Banquet). Discounted ticket priority is for veterans and current ROTC cadets. Please follow this link if interested!
- June 27, 2022: Registration for the 2022 Alumni and Friends Banquet is open!
- April 22, 2022: Alumni and Friends, thank you for your donations to the OU Army ROTC Alumni Association as part of the University of Oklahoma’s Giving Day!

- December 17, 2021: We appreciate our alumni and friends who donated to the fund of Ariane Kae Owens, wife of current OU Army ROTC cadet Jason Owens.
- November 15, 2021: Thanks to all our alumni and friends who attended our most recent banquet! It was great seeing you all! We will plan to have our 19th annual banquet next year, on November 4, 2022.
