LTC (Ret) Kennan Horn

LTC Kennan Horn was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and graduated from high school in Gore, Oklahoma in 1986. He enlisted in the Army Reserves as an Infantryman. In 1989 he graduated from Northeastern State University, was a Distinguished Military graduate and commissioned a 2LT in the Air Defense Artillery. His operational assignments include service in the 101st Airborne Division, 25th Light Infantry Division and 10th Mountain Division. His career culminated as the Professor of Military Science at The University of Oklahoma where he served a four-year term in that position. LTC Horn is credited with implementing the Wall of Fame and expanding private donor sponsorships among many other accomplishments.

After retiring from the Army in 2010, LTC Horn served as a Program Manager for a defense contracting company at Ft Sill and as the Executive Director for the Air Defense Artillery Association. Later he became the first Director of Veterans Programs in the state while serving at The University of Central Oklahoma, helping to add multiple veteran grants and becoming nationally ranked every year of his tenure. He is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Air Defense Artillery Association and the Blinded Veterans Association where he was awarded the Major General Melvin Maas award for outstanding achievement in his field of employment as a blinded veteran. LTC Horn is a recipient of numerous other honors and military awards.
